Pair Of Career Criminals Caught In Macon, Now Face Several More Charges

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon’s Narcotics Unit and the Southeastern Regional Task Force made two arrests Thursday after serving a search warrant to a home on Knott Street in downtown Macon.

87 pieces of crack cocaine, one bag of marijuana, and a rifle were recovered in the search.

53 year-old Larry Matthews was arrested and now faces charges for burglary, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, probation violation (Superior Court), giving false information to police, and being present where drugs are kept or sold. This is Matthews’ 23rd arrest in Bibb County. His bond was set at $4,350.

The second suspect, 50 year-old Ferdinand James Williams was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. This is Williams’ 33rd arrest in Bibb County. Williams’ bond was set at $25,350.
