Macon Woman Turns 100
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Saturday, one Macon woman will reach a milestone many don’t get to say they’ve achieved.
Francis Kaplan of Macon will be turning 100 on Saturday.
She’s originally from New York and celebrated her special day at her retirement home with her close friends and relatives.
She has two children, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
She says to her it just feels like another day, but she’s happy to be around her loved ones.
“I’m not going to say like everybody says peace in the world, I want to just be happy while I’m still alive, I want my children to be happy and what more can I ask for,” Kaplan said.
Kaplan and others living at the retirement complex will celebrate with a game of Bingo.
She’s going to have a cake and a live band play in the dining room as well as spend her actual birthday with her family.
