Byron Man Killed in Car Wreck on I-75

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A Byron man is dead after a car wreck on I-75 saturday night.

The accident happened near Hartley Bridge Road.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones say 87-year-old Robert Gamble was driving a Honda SUV when he collided with a truck that was pulling another truck on a trailer.

Jones says Gamble a long-time employee of Hart’s Mortuary was pronounced dead on the scene.

Spokesperson for the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Lieutenant Sean Defoe, says the Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
