Macon Police Responds to Hostage Hoax
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon police responded to a possible hostage situation early Monday morning, but it turned out to be fake.
According to a news release, MPD responded to the Pine Ridge Apartments on Clinton Road around 4:40 a.m. The MPD SWAT Team was called to the scene, got into the apartment, and made contact with the resident inside.
MPD later determined the original call was fake. Police do not know who made that call.
