Dewey Street shooting suspect arrested

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, along with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested 20-year-old James Lee Card in connection with the death of 19-year-old Marquez Card on Dewey Street on  July 7.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, along with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, arrested 20-year-old James Lee Card in connection with the death of 19-year-old Marquez Card on Dewey Street on  July 7.

According to a news release, Card was located in a residence in the 1000 block of Hillyer Avenue. Deputies say Card was found hiding in a closet of the residence. He was taken into custody without incident just after 2 a.m.

Card was transported to the Bibb County Jail and is charged with murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

He is being held without bond at this time.
