Milledgeville Police Arrest Couple Wanted for Burglary in Emanuel County

CrowleyCasey Eric 05012013MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Milledgeville police arrested a husband and wife duo wanted for burglary in Emanuel County.

According to a news release, the Emanuel County Sheriff’s Office reached out to MPD on Wednesday in reference to two burglary suspects possibly in Milledgeville, Casey Eric Crowley and Elizabeth Karen Crowley. MPD found evidence of the couple laying low in Milledgeville, including items pawned at local pawn shops.

MPD found the motel the Crowley’s were staying at and followed the couple in a white SUV. Several officers performed a traffic stop where the Crowley’s were taken into custody. During the traffic stop, Elizabeth Crowley handed over a clear plastic baggy containing suspected methamphetamine, according to the news release.

CrowleyKaren Elizabeth 05012013Three search warrants were executed and police found several items believed to have been stolen during the Emanuel County burglaries. MPD also found counterfeit checks that were made by the suspects and possibly used at local merchants.

The Crowley’s are booked in the Baldwin County jail and charged with one county each of theft by receiving stolen property, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and charges pending identification of miscellanies pills. They could face additional charges. The suspects also face multiple burglary charges in Emanuel County.
