Red Cross offers rewards for donation during blood shortage

MACON ,Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — As a result of an unusually high number of traumas, emergency room visits and surgeries, the American Red Cross is experiencing a severe blood shortage and is offering incentives to potential donors.

All who come to give blood from July 7 to July 31 will receive a $10 Amazon gift card via email as well as an automatic entry for a chance to win gas for a whole year (valued at $5,000).

Those who donate throughout the month of July will also be entered for a chance to win a trip for 4 to Cedar Point or Knott’s Berry Farm.
