Officials To Vote On Falcons Stadium Design Firm
ATLANTA (AP) – Officials are scheduled to vote to approve architectural design services for the new Atlanta Falcons stadium.
Aside from the vote Tuesday, the Georgia World Congress Center Authority Board of Governors is scheduled to execute a contract with the architectural firm and begin the official start of the stadium’s design process.
Less than two weeks ago, officials named Kansas City Mo.-based 360 Architecture, as the leading candidate to design the stadium. The firm designed the new stadium shared by the New York Jets and Giants.
The firm was one of five finalists to build the $1 billion, retractable roof stadium in downtown Atlanta.
The vote is scheduled for 1 p.m. in the Georgia World Congress Center Authority Boardroom.
