Twiggs Deputies Looking for Two Convicted Felons on the Run

JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two convicted felons who are on the run.

Chief Billy Boney says 35-year old Charlie Branner Junior (picutred on left), and 33-year-old Michael Laquell Sanders (pictured on right) both of Vidalia are wanted for felony obstruction, and possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Boney says there are warrants out for both men for violating parole.

Boney told 41NBC the two ran away from deputies during a traffic stop near mile-marker 25 on I-16 West. Deputies found a pistol in the car, open alcohol containers, and marijuana residue. The two were last seen running toward the woods.

Branner goes by the name ‘Koolaide’ and is described as 6’1” and 175 lbs. Sanders is a sex offender who goes by the name ‘Smokey’. He is about 5’6” and weighs about 157 lbs.
