‘Important’ Hearing Scheduled for Former Probation Officer’s Murder Trial
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An “important” hearing is scheduled to happen before jury selection on Monday Russell Holt’s murder trial.
“No further information will be provided prior to that hearing,” Coweta Judicial Circuit District Attorney Peter Skandalakis said in a news release.
Holt, a former Georgia Department of Corrections probation officer, is charged with shooting his girlfriend Jessica Wolfe last March. Wolfe worked as a legal assistant in the Houston County’s District Attorney’s Office.
Holt is currently out on bond. He’s charged with several counts including malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.
41NBC reached out to Holt’s attorney Frank Hogue but our calls were not immediately returned.
The special hearing will take place at 9:30 a.m. in Houston County Superior Court and jury selection is scheduled to start afterwards. Bibb County Superior Court Judge Tripp Self is presiding.
