Bibb Deputies Investigating 3-Car Crash
LIZELLA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies are trying to figure out what caused a three-car crash at the intersection of Eisenhower Parkway and Holly Lane Friday evening.
Lt. Paul Edwards tells 41NBC a gray Saturn was turning left off Holly Lane onto Highway 80 when the driver hit the passenger side of the brown Malibu. The impact caused the brown vehicle to tip and crash head on into a white Honda, which was driving in the opposite direction. The brown car then rolled onto its roof.
Edwards says there were no fatalities. Two people went to the Medical Center of Central Georgia with minor injuries.
Edwards tells 41NBC there are no charges pending but that could change depending on the outcome of the investigation.
Witnesses and residents in that area tell 41NBC that intersection is very dangerous. They say Georgia Department of Transportation is suppose to install a round about to help stop speeders and hopefully prevent any more accidents.
41NBC will follow up and have more information on the dangers of that roadway next week.
