41NBC Earns Salvation Army Volunteer Award

FORT VALLEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – 41NBC was honored during the Salvation Army of Central Georgia’s “Celebration of our Star Volunteers Appreciation” event Saturday night.

Promotions manager and Salvation Army advisory board member Ryan Pope accepted the media award. The organization highlighted 41NBC’s participation during the Christmas media mogul, the kettle campaign for the past three years as well as collecting food and coats for the pantry.

It was a night to celebrate the Salvation Army’s all-star volunteers.

“The Salvation Army is grateful for our volunteers. Every one in this room tonight are all-starts and we’re able to help so many of our neighbors because of you,” Major David Cope said.

The evening also celebrated volunteers who have donated their time, energy, and supplies throughout the year. The Salvation Army of Central Georgia has been “doing the most good” since 1899.
