Montezuma Police Chief Heads to White House to Join National Gun Control Debate

MONTEZUMA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Montezuma Police Chief Eric Finch is heading to the White House to join the gun legislation discussion.

On Tuesday, Finch will meet with Vice President Joe Biden to provide input on the “Omnibus Gun Violence Prevention Bill”. He was one of several police chiefs chosen to meet with representatives from both the Democrat and Republican parties.

In a news release, Finch said “this is very humbling and a blessing to be asked to attend. This is a great honor for the citizens of Montezuma. Mayor Willie James Larry and the City Council have invested a lot in our department. This opportunity to be selected is due to the hard work of the men and women of the Montezuma Police Department.”
