Watkins Announces He’ll Run for Commission

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon City Councilman Virgil Watkins, Jr. is throwing his name in the hat for a spot on the new, Macon-Bibb consolidated government.

In a release sent Thursday, Watkins says he plans to run for the District 8 seat.

He’ll make a formal announcement Friday morning at 11 at Macon City Hall.
