DynCorp to Cut 300 Jobs in Warner Robins
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A contractor at Robins Air Force base announced its closing shop in May, leaving roughly 300 people out of work.
DynCorp International, a Virginia-based company, is leaving Warner Robins due to funding.
The U.S Air Force decided not to renew the company’s contract, ending its work at the base on May 31. For the past year, the group has been providing maintenance support on several aircraft at the base including the C-130, C-17, C-5 and F-15.
The Georgia Department of Labor is on standby to help any of DynCorp’s displaced workers. No word on if these cuts are related to the national budget cuts.
