Warner Robins ‘Historic’ LEC Near Completion
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins new multimillion dollar law enforcement center is nearly complete.
On Thursday, city officials went on a final tour of the building before its grand opening. Warner Robins Mayor Chuck Shaheen said the $9 million facility is on time and on budget. He expects to open the doors to the public as early as April.
“This is the biggest building in the history of Warner Robins,” Shaheen said, “42,000 square feet, $9.5 million. But there wasn’t a stone unturned that wasn’t done efficiently.”
The center will house all of the law enforcement offices, public records and forensic labs. Shaheen said the police department has outgrown its current building, which was built in the 1960s.
