Cherry Blossom Festivities Cancelled at Central City, Closing Ceremonies Still On

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Cherry Blossom outdoor activities at Central City Park were cancelled for Sunday, but the finale will go on, according to festival organizers.

Spokesperson for the Cherry Blossom Festival, Lydia Moss says the annual pin grand prize drawing will be held at Building 13 at Central City Park at 5pm.

Also at 5pm, the finale festivities will kick off at Wesleyan College. Moss says two bands will take the stage before 6, and the fireworks finale is expected to start sometime around dusk.
