UPDATE: Homeless Man Found Dead in Car
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A homeless man was found dead in his car early Tuesday morning.
Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones tells 41NBC 59-year-old David Suttles died of natural causes, most likely a heart attack.
The body was found around 9:30 a.m. in a car in front of 875 Burrus Road off Riverside Drive. A Macon Water Authority employee found him parked behind building off to the side behind a building.
“He was relaxed back, sleeping. And at that time, with the door open, I knew it was too cold for anyone to be sleeping, so I knew then to blow my horn, wake him up or startle him,” Larry Davis said.
Authorities say Suttles has been living out of his car since he was evicted from his home in December.
“I was told that someone had noticed this car back here for several days,” Jones said. “There’s a lot of stuff in the car so obviously he was staying in the car.”
Jones says the body had been there for several days.
