Man Gunned Down After Showdown With Warner Robins Police Officers

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is dead after a shootout with Warner Robins police officers.

The incident happened Sunday night just before 8. According to a news release, officers were sent to 106 Huntwood Lane where a man with a gun was threatening his wife.

Once officers approached the residence, shots were fired between them and the unknown man.

He was pronounced dead at the home by medical personnel and one officer received minor injuries.

Spokesperson for the Warner Robins Police Department, Tabitha Pugh, says no other information will be released at this time.

The incident was turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.
