Houston County Fire Destroys One Home, Damages Two Others

HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – On Monday, Houston County fire crews spent the day sifting through rubble, after a large weekend blaze damaged three homes.

Sunday afternoon, a fire on Amelia Drive in Houston County destroyed one home and damaged two others. Houston County Fire Chief Jimmy Williams said everyone inside all three of the homes made it out safely. Now, Williams and his investigators are working to find out what caused the fire.

The Houston County Fire Department and the Houston County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
