Trial Date Set for Stephen McDaniel, Accused Killer of Mercer Law Grad
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A trial date is set for Stephen McDaniel, the man accused of killing and dismembering Mercer Law grad, Lauren Giddings.
Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney David Cooke tells 41NBC the trial is set for September 9th of this year, in the Bibb County Superior Court.
“We’re doing everything we can to get justice for Lauren and her family, and the community,” said Cooke.
Cooke says he went to Judge Phillip Brown this afternoon and asked for a date, and defense attorneys were on a conference call with them at that meeting.
