Judge Rules Dallemand Must Be Added to Contract Lawsuit

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A judge ruled Bibb County superintendent Dr. Romain Dallamend must be added to the lawsuit that alleges his contract was illegally approved by the board.

41NBC obtained a ruling sent down from Bibb County Superior Court Judge Edgar Ennis. He writes Dr. Dallemand is a necessary party to this suit. He says the plantiff, Bibb County parent Thomas Defore, has 21 days to add Dr. Dallemand to the list of defendants, which include the Bibb County Board of Education and the school district.

Dr. Dallemand will then have 30 days to respond.

The judge also denied Defore’s request to temporarily stop all payments to Dr. Dallemand outlined in the contract.
