Former Arbors Apartments Employee Charged with Stealing Rent Checks & Money Orders
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- A local apartment manager is accusing a former employee of stealing $21,000. According to a Macon police report, the owner of the Arbors Apartments in Macon says he discovered that rent checks and money orders were deposited into an employee’s personal bank account. The employee accused in the report is 36-year-old Amy Macdonald from Macon.
The manager told police, when he confronted her she resigned. Bibb County jail records show she was arrested Thursday and is charged with fiduciary theft. She’s been released from jail on bond.
