Veterans High Wide Receiver Commits to Albany State University

KATHLEEN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Veterans High School wide receiver Malik Broughton pledged four years to Albany State University Wednesday afternoon.

Broughton chose Albany State University after deciding that he wanted to stay close to his friends and family.

“It’s close to home so my dad can come to all my games,” Broughton said.

His proud parents stood behind him on National Signing Day as he committed to a new stage in his life. He plans to major in business and eventually get a master’s degree.
