Tattnall Athlete Heading to Mercer

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An upcoming Tattnall Square Academy graduate is staying close to home, signing Wednesday to play football for the Mercer Bears.

Linebacker Tyler Ward holds the high school’s record in first hits with 400, and total tackles with 598.

Head coach for the Trojans, Barney Hester, had nothing but praise for Ward, calling him an outstanding member of the Tattnall team on and off the field.
