Man Arrested after a Home Burglary in Macon

Justin WashingtonMACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man is arrested after officers responded to a residential burglary in the 3300 block of O’Hara Drive.

A news release sent out today by the MPD said 20-year-old Justin Ryan Washington was eventually detained and arrested after being identified by the victim.

The incident took place Thursday morning after the owner of the residence pulled into her driveway and noticed a black male running away holding several items in his hands. He fled behind Jessie Rice Elementary School and into a wood line.

Officers canvassed the area and after a search, located Washington on nearby Lindsey Drive.

A large flatscreen TV was recovered in the victim’s backyard, but nothing else was found. The suspect was charged with Burglary and taken to the Bibb County LEC where he remains. A bond was set at $8,450.
