Mulberry United Methodist Church Celebrates Super Bowl with Songs

MACON, Georgia (41NNBC/WMGT) – At Mulberry United Methodist Church, Super Bowl Sunday means fewer interceptions and a lot more instrumentals.

The Macon Chapter of the American Guild of Organists presented it’s Super Bowl of Hymn Festivals.

This year’s concert featured talent from across the state, including, the Mercer University singers.

Mulberry United Methodist Church chaplain Allen Mitchell said the tradition started more than a decade ago to preserve the history of hymn singing.
