Macon Native to Appear on NBC’s Season Premiere of “SMASH”
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — NBC’s hit series, SMASH returns to prime time Tuesday night, and the two hour season opener is also a television debut for one of Macon’s own superstars!
24 year old dancer, and Macon native Sasha Hutchings will be on stage with Jennifer Hudson during her performance of “Momma Makes Three”. Hutchings, a dancer in the show’s ensemble, will appear in three more episodes throughout SMASH’s second season.
Last year, she landed her first on-Broadway role in the musical Memphis. Hutchings found her dancing feet at three years old. She attended the Flag City School of Dance, Dance Arts Studio,
Hutchings is also a star when it comes to school. She was the valedictorian of Cental High School in 2007!
Hutchings is currently in full rehearsal for her second Broadway show as a dancer/ensemble singer in “Motown the Musical” which opens April 2013 in New York City.
SMASH premieres tonight on NBC. The two hour season two opener begins at 9 pm.
