Doughboy Pizza Robbed In Downtown Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Police arrested and charged a man for stealing the tip jar from downtown Macon’s newest pizza place, Doughboy Pizza.

In a news release from Macon Police’s Jami Gaudet, 50 year-old Thomas Augustus Wallace, III came into the Cherry Street restaurant sometime on Monday, took the tip jar from the counter and then ran out of the business.

Wallace was caught later and confessed to taking the money and spending it.

Wallace faces charges of theft by taking, two Superior Court probation violations, a Special Superior Court probation violation, and failure to appear. Wallace faces a $650 bond.
