Suspected Murderer Turns Himself In
The Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a possible murder that had occurred in the county. The Jones County Sheriff’s Office had a person to come in to their office and say that he had committed a murder. It was found that the murder actually accured in Twiggs County, and Twiggs County was notified.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and found the body of Hurley Danielle Thompson Hoskins, 37 years of age in a wooded area at the Bond Swamp recreation area on Highway 129.
Her husband of 19 days Marcus Hoskins 45 years of age was arrested for murder. It appeared that the couple had marital difficulties and the suspect shot and killed his wife at the Bond Swamp Recreation area, he then apparently went home and later called Jones County Sheriff’s Office and confessed to the murder.
Marcus Hoskins will be charged with Felony Murder, Kidnapping, False Imprisonment, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Certain Crimes, Theft by Conversion, and Commission of a Crime by a Convicted Felon through the Use of a Firearm. Hoskins is being held without bond at the Twiggs County Law Enforcement Center.
