Two Macon Police Officers Arrested, Charged for Stealing Tractor
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Police are investigating two of their own tonight. In a news release late this evening, Police spokeswoman Jami Gaudet says Officers Troy Guidry and Jon Adam Wantz are charged with theft by taking and violation of their oaths of office, after they stole a tractor from a local plumbing company.
Chief Mike Burns had this to say about the incident: “The actions of these officers is a grave disappointment to the entire MPD family and will not be tolerated by me or by our department.”
Guidry was arrested in Monroe County by Macon Police officers. It’s not clear where Wantz was arrested as well.
