Perry’s Dogwood Festival 2013 to Feature Hot Air Ballons, Dog Competition
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Plans for the 25th annual Dogwood Festival in Perry are in full-bloom.
The Perry Chamber of Commerce planted the ceremonial trees at Rotary Park Tuesday morning, where chamber officials unveiled the new festival logo and a lot of exciting details about this year’s event. Dogwood Festival Co-founder Kathy O’Neal said this year’s festival will include a dog competition show, hot air balloons and an arts and crafts show.
“They will have the balloon, they’ll have tethered rides, they’ll have stuff to do out there as well as the balloon glow which will be in the evening,” O’Neal said, “Macon has had that for several years and it’s awesome”.
The Dogwood Festival is scheduled for April 13 and 14. The event is free and open to the public. For more information on this year’s events, visit www.perrydogwoodfestival.com.
