Macon Police Officer Found Dead at Training Center

 MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon Police officer, who had been with the force for more than 20 years, was found dead at the Training Center in downtown Macon.

Lieutenant Mark Cotton, 49, was found Sunday afternoon, according to Bibb County Leon Jones.

A law enforcement source tells 41 NBC, Cotton worked in the training division and was found at the back door.

Jones would not comment on the cause of death and said the investigation is on-going. An autopsy should be complete by Monday.
