Customers Return, Exchange Gifts on Day After Christmas

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – If you didn’t spend the day playing with your new gifts, you most likely spent the day returning what you didn’t want.

Wednesday, the Best Buy on Presidential Parkway in Macon was a hot spot for people trading in their gifts for something else, or cashing in on gift cards.

The crowd wasn’t too overwhelming for employees this morning, but they say they do expect the pace to pick up in the coming days.

Employee J.J. Weinschelbaum says for those working in retail, the hectic days are just part of the job.

“It’s a busy time of year, especially, you know–having family at home,” says Weinschelbaum.  “But it goes by quick when there’s a lot of traffic, a lot of people in the building, a lot of things going on, you tend to just forget the time and you go with it.  It’s fun; I always have a blast doing it.”

If you need to return something, remember each store has different policies and deadlines.

Check your receipt from your purchase or go to your store’s website for details on how to return your unwanted items.
