Winters First Day as Houston County Prosecutor

PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Former Bibb County District Attorney Greg Winters is settling into his new office at the Houston County courthouse.

After a long campaign, Winters lost his seat as Bibb County District Attorney to David Cooke. He has now joined the Houston County’s District Attorney’s office where he will work as a prosecutor.

“I’ve met the judges, spoken with them,” Winters said, “learned the other staff and I’m just getting the flow of the game.”

At his new job, Winters will handle a variety of cases and is working closely with Houston County District Attorney George Hartwig.
