Gresham Motorsports Park To Have New Director Of Competition In 2013
JEFFERSON, GA – Gresham Motorsports Park (GMP) will have a new Director of Competition in 2013 after announcing Thursday that it has parted ways with Micky Cain, who had served as Director of Competition since GMP was renovated and re-opened in 2009.
“Micky has made many, many contributions to Gresham Motorsports Park,” said Jim Gresham, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Track Properties LLC, the parent company of GMP. “Micky’s dedication to making GMP all that it is today will always be appreciated by the entire Gresham family as well as by all the fans who have – and will continue to enjoy races for years to come – at GMP.”
An announcement as to who will serve as Director Of Competition at GMP in 2013 will be made at a later date.
Gresham Motorsports Park will open its 2013 season on Saturday, March 30, with the Racer’s Memorial 208. The Pro Late Model main event – won last year by Chase Elliott – will also feature action in Mini Stocks, Sportsman, Renegades, Trucks and Outlaw Late Models.
The track’s marquee event in 2013 will be the 30th-Annual World Crown on Thursday, July 4.
