UPDATE: Macon Police Look for Suspect in Deadly Waffle House Shooting
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Macon Police are looking for two suspects involved in a shooting that left one person person dead and two others injured.
The shootings happened Sunday around 4 a.m. at the Waffle House on Chambers Road.
Ernie Bradley was next door at the Economy Inn when he heard the gunfire.
“I peeped out to see what was going on,” Bradley said, “all of sudden people just started running.”
Macon Police say a female was grazed with a bullet on her back and a male was shot several times in the pelvic area. Both victims were transported to the Medical Center of Central Georgia. The female victim was released. The male victim remains in the hospital.
20-year-old Christopher Crowder was shot in the face. According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, Crowder died at the scene.
Bradley saw Crowder on the ground in the parking lot shortly after he heard gun shots.
“When I heard the glass break, I knew something was wrong,” Bradley said, “I walked up there and looked and I didn’t like it. I didn’t like what I saw.”
According to MPD, one of the suspects is 19-year-old Ashley D. Brown. Brown has five previous arrest dating back to 2010.
