Autopsy Results: Woman Died From Blow to the Head with Bat
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says 46-year-old Alterese Carter died from blunt force trauma to the head.
The autospy confirms the was death a homicide.
Macon police charged 49-year-old John Conover with murder late Sunday night. Police say on Friday evening, Conover hit Carter in the head with a bat after arguing with her 12-year-old son.
Rosalyn Williams says she saw the fight happen. She told 41NBC Conover hit Carter in the arm and side, and she fell and hit her head. In the incident report, Conover told police he didn’t know where he hit Ms. Carter.
Conover is charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and battery in connection with the incident.
