LaQuinta Inn ‘Eyesore’ in Warner Robins Demolished

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After a year’s wait, a Warner Robins ‘eyesore’ is now coming down.

Construction crews continued demolition on the La Quinta Inn on Willie Lee Parkway. Last Thanksgiving, a large fire gutted the majority of the building. City officials waited for the owners to tear down the building, but after a year’s wait took matters into their own hands.

City attorney Jim Elliot said he’s “glad to see it go”. Elliot said the city plans to get its money back for the demolition from the owner. Crews plan to be finished with the project in the next couple of days.
