Macon Teen Accidentally Shot in Wrist and Knee

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 14-year-old Macon teen was taken to the hospital after he was shot in the wrist and knee on Saturday night.

A news release from the Macon Police Department, says the boy was hanging out with a group of friends in a shed at an apartment complex on Crystal Lake Circle.

They were listening to music when another boy joined the group. He had a gun in his pocket, and the victim says it accidentally went off.

The victim’s mother told police she heard a gun shot, then the group of guys came out of the shed with her son.

She drove him to the medical center where he is being treated, and is expected to recover.
