Jolly Receives Life Sentence in Death of Deputy
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Damon Jolly received a life sentence for the shooting death of Bibb County Deputy Sheriff Joseph Whitehead.
Jolly entered a guilty plea Tuesday. Whitehead was shot and killed in 2006, while serving a no-knock warrant. Before his sentencing, an emotional Jolly addressed the court, asking Whitehead’s family for forgiveness.
“Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?” Jolly asked.
