Steady Voter Turnout in Houston County, Local Group Offers Free Rides to the Polls
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Voters in Houston County didn’t let the weather stop them from casting their ballots on Tuesday. Voters say it is a privilege and a right to vote, but what if you had no way of getting to the polls?
“I hope everyone gets out and votes,” voter Kim Kersey said.
Voters in Houston County all agree that it is important to vote, but some Warner Robins residents can’t get to the polls to cast their ballot.
“We noticed there was a need. We know Warner Robins does not have public transportation and so there’s definitely a need of people who can’t get to their polling place,” Kenitra Burnette said.
