Santa Arrives at Bass Pro Shops in Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – It’s never too early for Christmas.

Santa Claus proved that statement true when he arrived in Macon on Saturday at Bass Pro Shops.

Kids waited for his arrival on their parents’ shoulders, patiently waiting for Santa to appear until our own Andrew Reeser announced his arrival.

After that, Santa lit up the huge Christmas Tree inside the store before, you guessed it, the kids waited in a long line to get their picture taken with jolly old St. Nick.

The event kicked off Bass Pro’s “Santa’s Wonderland” that will run through Christmas Eve.

“To see a child light up when they see the Christmas tree or they see Santa come rolling in, and just gravitate to Santa’s Wonderland reminds me of when my children were small and Santa and Christmas was a main event,” says Tom Moody, general manager of the store.

Some of the things on the kids’ lists this year?

A four-wheeler, a boat, Buzz Lightyear, a new playhouse, an XBOX360 Kinect, and of course, clothes and jewelry.
