Warner Robins Inducts Inaugural Hall of Fame Class
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Warner Robins inducted its seven hall of famers Saturday night. The inductees included educators, politicians and judges. Ernest W. Wood was one of the honorees. Wood was Warner Robins first fire chief. He said he just feels honored to be a part of the whole process.
“I feel like all the firefighters since 1959 should be on this same level with me,” said Ernest Wood.
Educator Pearl Stephens, Judge Nick Lazaros, Superintendent David Perdue, Former Warner Robins Mayor Henrietta McIntyre, business Charles Williams and former Happy Hour Service President Frank Ryals were all inducted. Nominations were gathered from people in the community. No word on where they will display the famers.
