Man Hit By Car, Killed In East Macon

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man visiting Macon for a relative’s funeral was struck by a vehicle and killed Monday night on Gray Highway.

According to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones, 51 year old Theorian Rainey from Detroit, Michigan was hit while crossing the road in the 1400 block of Gray Highway in East Macon around 9:55 pm.

Jones says he was in Macon for a relative’s funeral. Rainey died from blunt force trauma.

Investigators are on the scene. Police have not released what kind of vehicle it was or where Rainey was walking.
