Six Dead Dogs Found at A Home In Knoxville
KNOXVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)-The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible animal cruelty case after several dogs were found dead at a home in Knoxville, GA.
Last Sunday, a woman living on Bentley Road told police that someone had poisoned seven of her dogs. According to the incident report, the woman said that she saw her dogs eating food that she didn’t give to them. Six of the dogs died.
“Right now, Crawford County doesn’t have a leash law. So we are not sure if the dogs wondered off their property onto someone else’s property and may have gone into this situation or not. But right now, it is still under investigation,” said Sheriff Lewis Walker.
A veterinarian took blood samples from the dog and said that the dogs could have been poisoned with anti-freeze. Authorities are still investigating the case. No one has been charged at this time.
