21 Grants Given To Organizations Across Middle Georgia

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)-With the help from many generous donors, the Community Foundation of Central Georgia was able to provide 21 grants to organizations across Central
Georgia. The award ceremony was held this morning at the Peyton Anderson Community Service Building on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The grants were awarded to organizations in the community that focused on improving the quality of life in Central Georgia.

Director and Founder of Conservatory for the Arts Trish Henry received a grant worth 3500 dollars to help benefit families in Lamar County and surrounding counties.

“This will allow us to serve 15 to 20 children in our year-long program,” said Trish Henry, Director and Founder of Conservatory for the Arts.

“Grants range in size from about 25 hundred dollars to 15 thousand dollars. It’s for real needs in these organizations. Some of it is just flat out operational money. Some of it was for specific programs or specific hardware needs,” said Kathryn Dennis, President of Community Foundation of
Central Georgia.

The 21 grants awarded totaled more than 210,000 dollars.
