Kellie Pickler and Joe Nichols Perform at Georgia National Fair
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia National Fair means plenty of fried food, fun and some of Middle Georgia’s favorite celebrities.
Country star Joe Nichols said it’s a stop on his tour that he always looks forward to.
“I love Georgia. The crowd is always great and they love country music. I kind of fit right in down here,” Nichols said.
Kellie Pickler and Joe Nichols played to a packed out arena Saturday night. Before hitting the stage, the two country music starts took the time to share this moment with some of their fans. Backstage Pickler and Nichols held meet and greets.
Instead of rocking red high heels, Pickler hit the stage in rhinestone stilettos and a newly shaved head in honor of a cancer-stricken friend. Nichols talked about his newborn baby girl, Dylan, his new music and a new record label.
“I have the freedom lately to go and make the kind of music I want to make with the people I want to make it with,” Nichols said.
While both have a lot of big projects on the agenda, they didn’t forget to perform fan favorites like Pickler’s “Red High Heels” and Nichol’s “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off”.
“It’s always fun to play cause people go crazy, Nichols said, “and there’s a lot of laundry on the stage afterwards.”
