Ingram-Pye Teacher Accidentally Hit in the Eye with Pencil

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – An Ingram-Pye Elementary student accidentally struck a teacher in the eyelid with a pencil. That’s according a news release from the Bibb County School District.

Just before 1pm today, the teacher reported the incident to building-level supervisors. According to the news release, the teacher told administrators the incident was accidental, and the student had no intention of hurting the teacher, or any other students.

The teacher was treated by Emergency Medical Services at the school, and returned to class.
