Macon Housing Authority Director Announces Retirement
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The long-time executive director of the Macon Housing Authority announced that he is retiring at the end of the year.
John Hiscox joined the Macon Housing Authority in October, 1981. Under his leadership, the MHA has earned a reputation as an industry leader. According to a press release, it has been successful in producing high quality, affordable housing outside the traditional pubic housing programs.
The MHA Board of Commissioners has hired a consultant to begin a nation-wide search for a new director. The expected emphasis will be on affordable housing development experience and qualifications.
